Best Healthy Grocery Store Finds
So, I have a confession. I kind of love grocery shopping. Like, really love it! It relaxes me, it's fun to try out new items, and I love searching for deals! Here are a few of my favorite grocery store items!
SEA CUISINE PREPARED FISH
These are my go-tos for lunch prep! They come pre-seasoned, and all you do is bake the fish from frozen!! Super simple for a weeknight dinner or prepping for lunches! I love them over a kale salad, and just try to pair the seasonings in the fish to my veggies.
If you're a meal prep pro, you know these bad boys can be your best friend! I love rotisserie chickens for weeks that I know I'm going to be extra busy on Sunday and won't have time to make the chicken myself. It's so simple to shred into a soup, on a salad, or just paired with some rice and veggies.
AIDELLS CHICKEN SAUSAGE AND MEATBALLS
I bought these meatballs this week to pair with spaghetti squash and some marinara sauce, and it was the fastest meal to put together! Since the meatballs are already cooked, all I had to do was microwave my ingredients to combine. Plus, this Italian style has a great taste to them! I'm obsessed with all Aidell's meats!
NATURE'S PATH CEREAL
I typically steer clear of cereal because if I'm not careful, I can put away a whole box, but when I do have cereal, I love to go for this one! It's super crunchy and the vanilla and maple flavored ones are so good!
BRAD'S KALE CHIPS
These kale chips were a new find for me this week (thank you buy one, get one free deals!), but I've really enjoyed them so far! Super crunchy and with a good flavor, I've been eating them sparingly because they don't come cheap!! But definitely a good alternative for when the chip cravings come in!
I love getting these bags of edamame to have as a snack while working! They're simple enough to microwave, and as long as you've got a freezer at work, you could even keep it there as an emergency snack!
HALO TOP ICE CREAM
You can't have a list of your favorite healthy grocery store finds and not include Halo Top!! These ice creams are absolutely perfect for feeling indulgent, but really sticking to your goals. Whenever I see them on sale, I buy a few! And they've recently come out with 10 new flavors, which means more to love!
THE GREEK GODS' GREEK YOGURT
This yogurt, in either Traditional Plain or Honey can be found in my basket pretty much every week. It's a great consistency and I love getting the Plain to sweeten up myself (with honey) or use in place of sour cream!
THOMAS ENGLISH MUFFINS
I'm a big fan of bread. Like a really big fan. So it's pretty common that I get these whole wheat English muffins a mid morning snack, or a great breakfast sandwich! This week I alternated between avocado toast and peanut butter toast. Perfection.
Of course Larabars are on this list!! They're so yummy, made with such simple ingredients, and do a great job of filling you up until your next meal! I try to stay kind of balanced when eating these and not have too many other healthy fats in my day since these are packed full of nuts!! But they're perfect for on the go snacking.
DEL MONTE GRAPEFRUIT
So I know prepackaged fruit isn't the absolute healthiest item to buy at the grocery store-- typically there's tons of added sugars. But I also HATE cutting grapefruit, and will never actually do it.. so in comes this huge tub of precut grapefruit! I go for the no sugar added, and use this as a great snack alone, with yogurt, or thrown into salads. Grapefruit has so much nutritional value that I get this container every now and then to enjoy a fruit I would never buy on my own.
